Federica Brignone ahead of all, Sofia Goggia held back

It è took place in Beaver Creek the first official training ahead of the Beaver Creek women’s downhill, scheduled for Saturday, December 14.
The best time è was set by Federica Brignone with a time of 1’34″13 ahead of World Cup holder Lara Gut, 39 hundredths off. Third was a positive Marta Bassino at 40 hundredths, while Laura Pirovano è seventh at 1″19.
There was of course great expectation for Sofia Goggia’s return to the race. The Bergamasque è naturally came down by a large margin and without the slightest force crossed the finish line 12th, 1″52 from Brignone.
Behind her are two other teammates coming back from injuries, Nicol Delago and Elena Curtoni, who finished 22nd and 26th, respectively. They were followed by Nadia Delago 28th, Roberta Melesi 30th, Vicky Bernardi 34th and Sara Thaler 46th. The second round is’ scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 12, also at 7 p.m. Italian time.
