Novak Djokovic tries again: set challenge to Jannik Sinner

Novak Djokovic toward a return to the court: according to Serbian media, the former world number one will participate in the Doha ATP 500, scheduled in Qatar Feb. 17-22. Nole’s physical condition is reportedly improving after the Belgrade tennis player è was forced to withdraw during the Australian Open semifinal against Alexander Zverev.

Djokovic would be focused on his recovery, and has set his sights on the Doha tournament, in which both Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are expected to participate.

There is no confirmation on the presence of his new coach Andy Murray, who followed him during the Melbourne Slam. Djokovic has not faced Jannik Sinner since the Shanghai Masters 1000 final, when he was defeated in two sets. More broadly, Nole has not beaten Azure since the 2023 ATP Finals.

Like Djokovic, Sinner decided to skip the Rotterdam tournament to regain his strength.
