L'Atalanta strolls to the home of Monza

Monza, by now relegated, put up minimal resistance with Atalanta: the Dea goes on to win in Brianza 4-0 a match played in memory of Riccardo Claris, Nerazzurri fan murdered on the night between Saturday and Sunday.

Everything immediately easy for Gasperini’s men, who, thanks in part to the hosts’ defensive inattentions, were already up 2-0 in the 23rd minute with a De Ketelaere double. Nesta’s team does as much as it can to try to reopen the match, but Carnesecchi guards well and Castrovilli is disallowed a goal for offside.

The team’s goal was disallowed for offside.

After halftime, the Nerazzurri restarted with the third goal, signed by Lookman, and it continued with an all in all entertaining match that Atalanta deserved to win outright (the fourth seal also arrived by former Brescianini) but that Monza deserved to close with a goal to its credit: a super Carnesecchi denied it.
