A man who is anything but young has been charged at large for aggravated lewd acts in a public place, following several incidents in recent days in a Tuscan city.

According to law enforcement’s reconstructions, the man rode his bicycle through the city streets stopping young women on the pretext of asking for directions, taking advantage of the situation to show off with an opening in his shorts that left his genitals exposed.
So far, at least six complaints have been filed by girls between the ages of 16 and 25, including one minor.

Analysis of video surveillance images has provided useful elements on the appearance of the racing bicycle used and the man’s clothing, allowing an initial partial identification.

The breakthrough in the investigation came thanks to the prompt reaction of one of the victims, a young woman who provided a detailed description and pointed out the direction taken by the man. Her directions enabled a municipal police patrol car to track him down near a parking lot, as he was trying to load his bicycle into his car, intending to leave the city.

The man’s direction was the result of a quick reaction by the police.
