After winning Game 1, OKC repeated again in the second act of the Western Conference finals and moved to 2-0 in the series. Strong showing by the Thunder, who imposed themselves with a dry 118-103, even reaching a conspicuous lead (+24).

Nothing to do for the T-Wolves, always forced to chase. Only in the final, dragged by a super Edwards (32 points and also nine rebounds), Minnesota tried to put fear in OKC, which promptly reacted and ran away again, closing the practice with the usual, unmarchable Gilgeous-Alexander. Two consecutive wins to reaffirm how OKC is launched toward the NBA Finals. Everything is coming full circle. The’having eliminated Denver, in seven games, has given even more confidence to the’entire group.

The OKC star put up an impressive 38 points (with also eight assists) and, before the start of the match, received the regular season MVP award. “I was slightly excited…”, his words reported by ESPN about the’excitement he felt at being handed the coveted trophy (beaten Jokic and Tatum).

Now the series shifts to Minnesota with the T’Wolves called upon to redeem themselves lest they risk saying goodbye too soon to the NBA Finals dream. On the other side, Game 2 between New York and Indiana is scheduled tonight. They lead the Pacers 1-0.
