Stefanos Tsitsipas has chosen Goran Ivanisevic to relaunch his career. The Greek tennis player, who is experiencing his worst season, eliminated at Roland Garros by Matteo Gigante, will start working immediately with the Croatian coach, who returned to the men’s circuit after a brief stint as Elena Rybakina’s coach.

Ivanisevic will thus be at the side of the 26-year-old from Athens as he tries to move up in the rankings.

Former world No. 2 was also Novak Djokovic’s coach between 2019 and 2024. The Croatian will begin his partnership with Tsitsipas before the season kicks off on grass.

“This exciting partnership comes just in time for the season on the grass courts, when the Greek will look to improve his performance on one of the sport”s most prestigious surfaces, wrote Tsitsipas’s agency in announcing the signing. The Greek slipped to No. 26 in the rankings after a second-round loss at the Paris slam against Matteo Gigante.
