Ufficio Stampa Pallacanestro Brescia

Tuesday was the day of the official presentation of Matteo Cotelli, who after having accumulated several years of experience as an assistant will go to replace Peppe Poeta (who returned to Olimpia Milano as Ettore Messina’s deputy) as head coach of Pallacanestro Brescia, recent protagonist of the Scudetto final lost to Virtus Bologna.

“It is really a dream today to be here – began Cotelli -Ballacanestro Brescia is the team of my city, the one I have always cheered for. About 20 years ago, when I started my coaching career, my goal was to become a high-level coach, and honestly, to be able to be that in Brescia is something unique and exciting. Basketball Brescia, for me, is everything”.

Among the topics discussed by the new White and Blue head coach was also the market: “We know that the season that just ended was exciting and unforgettable, but, at the same time, we are aware that every year we start from scratch– he said. The roster, net of the inclusion of CJ Massinburg, will remain almost unchanged. However, we will need to be ready immediately, with humility and spirit of sacrifice, to perform within a league that always rewrites its balances”.

Inevitable thanks to the ownership of the club: “I want to express sincere thanks, which come from my heart, to Mauro Ferrari and his family, who, once again, have been able to demonstrate with facts their trust in me. Each season, in fact, I have been entrusted with a role of greater responsibility on the technical staff. With this appointment I feel renewed confidence, which has always been there and always will be there. For me this is important and I will do everything to bring up the name of Pallacanestro Brescia and the Ferrari“ family.
