NBA, Paul George’s ordeal continues: more surgery

Another setback in the career of Paul George. The Philadelphia 76ers all-star was forced to undergo another surgery. The’wing has, again, injured his left knee and thus went under the knife.
It was decided to have the surgery immediately to try to get Paul George for the start of the next NBA regular season. Last year, Paul George himself, had been dealing with several injuries, so much so that he only managed to play 41 total games.
The last contest played? Last March 4. Then endless problems and, now, a new surgery, this time arthroscopically on his left knee for discomfort felt by the 35-year-old All Star in a recent workout.
Much concern in the 76ers household. Paul George, who just a year ago signed a four-season contract at $212 million total, has managed to play at least 60 games on one occasion in the past six years. Given also the major physical problems plaguing the franchise’s other All Star, namely Joel Embiid (19 total games last season), it is clear that Philadelphia is far from quiet and is monitoring the Paul George issue as closely as possible. The hope is to have them both ready for the’start of the new season and to be able to count on them for a long time.
