Celestino Vietti struggles more than he should in free practice
Rather complicated day for the Mooney VR46 Racing Team rider during the two free practice sessions in the Thai Grand Prix.
Vietti Ramus, after finishing FP1 in tenth position, worsens his performance due to a sudden rise in temperatures, ending FP2 in 18th position with a time of 1’37″322, which signals a delay of one tenth from the provisional access to Q2.
The Italian rider expressed himself this way at the end of FP2: “I did not expect to struggle so much, especially in the afternoon session where I could not improve as much as I would have liked. We have to work and understand why we are suffering on this type of track. Let’s give our best to hit Q2 in FP3 and also continue to focus on race pace and consistency to be more competitive.”
