Inter: Lookman remains the priority but there's already an'alternative

Everything on stand-by. Negotiations to snatch Lookman from Atalanta are stuck. The Nigerian striker is continuing to desert Zingonia, certain that, in the end, his wish to leave Dea will come true. The Orobic club, for its part, remains firm on its positions.
L’Inter is expected to submit, in the near future, a new proposal to Atalanta. There is talk of a couple of million more than the’original offer and a few more bunus, so as to get as close as possible to 50 million, which is what the Bergamo club would like to “free” Lookman.
That may not necessarily be enough. L’Atalanta, through the words of Percassi, has made it clear, in no uncertain terms, how the transfer of the Nigerian striker to Italy is not the preferred solution.
L’Inter, to protect itself in case of a new refusal by Dea, would have Sancho in its sights. The English striker, hailed to Juventus, could be the right alternative to Lookman. Certainly his cost would be less than the’onerous investment for the Nigerian. The interest in Sancho might just be a way to make it clear to Atalanta that time is running out and there is no willingness on the part of Marotta and partners to wait much longer. The feeling is that the next few days will be decisive, one way or the other.
