There is great happiness in the blue clan after the clear 3-0 success in Bangkok against Poland in the quarterfinals of the Women’s Volleyball World Cup. Here are the words of coach Julio Velasco to the microphones of RaiSport.

“These girls are exceptional. It is not because they do what I say, but because they do what they can do. I have been telling them since the beginning of the year that they must be autonomous and authoritative on the court: and they know how to adapt to situations and to the’opponent. It is a complete and balanced team in every area, that is the key”.

“I don&#8217t know if this is our best game at the World Cup, I have a hard time ranking it. Certainly winning 3-0 against a strong national team like Poland is important. We know we are strong but we do not consider ourselves the strongest and we respect everyone.”

“I read a title to an’interview with Anna Danesi, ‘Let&#8217s win the World Cup’: it does not belong to our way of thinking, it is not in our head this presumption. Brazil or France? The Brazilians are considered the favorites, France has changed a lot and is playing very well: I repeat, it will still be difficult”.
