Inter awaits Barcelona, Simone Inzaghi dissolves goalkeeper doubt
Simone Inzaghi announces a starter against Barcelona
Simone Inzaghi spoke in a press conference ahead of Inter Barcelona, day three of Champions League group C, scheduled for Tuesday at the San Siro at 9 p.m.
The Inter coach took stock of the injury situation: “Lautaro had an examination this morning in which nothing was highlighted, he ended the game fatigued, today he will do partial training. I still have to talk to the doctors, we will see the condition. Brozovic and Lukaku will not be there, Gagliardini and Lautaro are to be evaluated. We had some little problems, Brozovic and Lukaku won’t be there for some time but we have other players to lean on.”
He then cleared the doubt for the goalkeeper for the challenge against the Blaugrana: “I will always evaluate from game to game, tomorrow from the start will be Onana.”
Inzaghi explained how to come out of such a difficult moment and then analyzed the opponent: “With wins and results. Tomorrow is a great opportunity, we meet a very strong team, who went to Munich and lost undeservedly, because it is a result that does not reflect what was seen on the field, they have great quality, running and determination. It’s a complete team, strong, with a lot of quality. They know how to do everything, they are organized, I think they are the team that recovers the ball in the highest way in Europe. This year they also have Lewandowski who is a great player.”
Finally, a comment on the possible reappointment of Asllani in the middle of the field: “Asllani had a good match, for tomorrow we will see the condition and the line-up we will make but he is ready.”
