Jannik Sinner: Martina Navratilova gives her verdict after final against Carlos Alcaraz

The US Open 2025 crowned a new king, Carlos Alcaraz. The Spanish champion, in a state of grace, came out on top in the final against Jannik Sinner, winning the sixth Slam of his career and the world number one spot. Multiple Slam winner Martina Navratilova to Sky Sports spoke candidly after the match.

“Alcaraz has the ability to give his all when it counts – explained the Czech-born former U.S. champion -He has a more complete game than Sinner and I have a feeling he faces him without pressure because he takes it for granted that he can lose to him”.

“He knows he has to play and, if he loses, that is okay. When circumstances allow, he becomes almost unbeatable, as he was last Sunday. The numbers do not lie, Carlos was the best on all fronts in the final”.

The two rivals could face each other again in China, in Shanghai: the Blue, back at number two after 65 weeks at the top of the ATP rankings, is already planning his rematch.
