Fenerbahce announced Mourinho’s successor

Fenerbahce has announced Jose Mourinho’s successor at the helm of the Istanbul team: Domenico Tedesco. The Italo-German coach thus returns to the bench after the end of his stint as Belgium’s technical commissioner: he signed a two-year contract.

“Domenico Tedesco has been appointed technical guide of the professional A soccer team of our club. The coach, with whom an agreement was reached to sign a two-year contract, will be assisted by Gökhan Gönül, one of our former captains, who wore our striped jersey for many years. Details regarding the signing ceremony of our new technical staff will be shared later”.

Tedesco, 39, has coached Schalke 04, Spartak Moscow, Leipzig in his career. He participated in the 2024 European Championships with Belgium, being eliminated in the round of 16 by France.
