World Cup Qualification 2026: Bolivia-Brazil, the likely lineups

The Estadio Municipal de El Alto, best known for the altitude at which it is located (4,088 meters above sea level) will be the scene of the match between Bolivia and Brazil, a match valid for the last day of the single round of World Cup 2026 qualification as far as CONMEBOL, the South American soccer confederation, is concerned.
Bolivia will try to take advantage of the greater aptitude for playing in the rarefied air of the Andes than the Brazilians, with the goal of trying to nab the seventh place that would be worth qualifying for the interconfederal playoffs. It will be necessary, however, not only to beat the greenoro national team, but also to hope for a loss by Venezuela at home against Colombia.
On the other side, however, Brazil is playing to retain second place and close in the best way possible a rich round marked by numerous ups and downs and, in the final phase, by the change of coach, with the arrival of Carlo Ancelotti. Seleçao, which hasn’t won the World Cup since 2002, is going through a rather disappointing period in terms of results: in fact, in the last major tournament played, the 2024 Copa America, it did not go beyond the quarterfinals, one of the worst results ever in the competition.
Probable lineups
BOLIVIA (4-3-3): Lampe; Medina, Haquin, Morales, Sagredo; Matheus, Vaca, Villamil; Paniagua, Terceros, Roberto Fernandez. C.t. Villegas.
BRASILE (4-2-3-1): Alisson; Wesley, Marquinhos, Gabriel, Douglas Santos; Bruno Guimaraes, Casemiro; Estevao, Raphinha, Gabriel Martinelli; Joao Pedro. C.t. Ancelotti.
