Italy Under 21 wins in 10 in Macedonia and remains on full points

Precious win for Italy Under 21 in North Macedonia: the Azzurrini won 1-0 against the home national team, despite Moruzzi’s expulsion after just 25 minutes of the match. Thanks to this result, Silvio Baldini’s team remains at the top of Group E on 6 points together with Poland.
The national team dominated the first part of the match but was held back by Moruzzi’s naive sending-off, who picked up two yellow cards within 10 minutes and was sent off. Baldini at the half-hour mark redesigned his team with a more defensive set-up, removing Pafundi and inserting Idrissi, and at 35′ the Azzurrini found the lead thanks to Marianucci, scoring with a right-footed shot off Ndour’s bank. In the second half, Italy managed and Macedonia only made itself dangerous from distance.
Chief coach Baldini after the match said he was very pleased with the team’s attitude: “These are the victories that make you mature, the boys thus become aware that on the field you have to help each other to bring home the result, you have to give everything without sparing yourself”.
