The fifth day of the Premier League 2025-26 promises excitement over the weekend.

Saturday seven matches will be played, including Burnley-Nottingham Forest. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m., at the same time as three other matches.

Since returning to the Premier League, Scott Parker’s Burnley has been struggling with determination. In the last two matches it has lost narrowly to far better-equipped opponents such as Manchester United and Liverpool, while still showing character. The only win of the season came against Sunderland, the only one so far truly within reach. Now comes another chance to score, against a struggling Nottingham Forest.

The mood at Forest is not the best: chairman Evangelos Marinakis surprised everyone by exonerating Nuno Espirito Santo, the coach who had taken the team to Europe. In his place came Ange Postecoglou, formerly of Tottenham, who, however, made his debut with a heavy 3-0 loss cashed against Arsenal, after another defeat against West Ham. Now, at least on paper, the calendar offers a less tough rival: Burnley.

Probable lineups

Burnley (5-4-1): Dubravka; Walker, Laurent, Ekdal, Esteve, Hartman; Tchaouna, Florentino Luis, Cullen, Anthony; Foster. Coach: Parker.

Nottingham Forest (4-2-3-1): Sels; Williams, Milenkovic, Murillo, Morato; Sangaré, Anderson; Ndoye, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi; Wood. Coach: Postecoglou.
