Serie A 2025-2026: Udinese-Cagliari, the likely lineups

At lunchtime (12:30 p.m.) the Udinese-Cagliari match, a match valid for the sixth day of Serie A (here, in continuous update, the probable formations of numerous matches to be played throughout Europe on the day), is staged at the Bluenergy Stadium in Udine. Both teams are on seven points in the standings, but the Friulians are coming off two heavy defeats, against AC Milan and Sassuolo, respectively. The Sardinians, on the other hand, are coming off a misstep with Inter.
Runjaic, coach of Udinese, seems intent on confirming, in attack, the duo Zaniolo-Davis. Recovered Bayo and Buksa who, however, should not start as starters. Among the guest ranks, absent Belotti who is seriously injured (out for the whole season). Mina, not at his best, should be in the match. Up front, room for Esposito and Borrelli.
There are 72 previous meetings between the two teams with the Friulians winning on 32 occasions against the Sardinian lineup’s 18 successes. The last previous was a year ago when Udinese won 2-0, thanks to goals from Lucca and Davis. Cagliari has not won in Friuli since April 2021.
The likely lineups
UDINESE (3-5-2): Sava; Bertola, Kristensen, Solet; Zanoli, Piotrowski, Karlstrom, Atta, Kamara; Davis, Zaniolo. All. Runjaic
CAGLIARI (3-5-2): Caprile; Zé Pedro, Mina, Luperto; Palestra, Adopo, Deiola, Folorunsho, Obert; Esposito, Borrelli. All. Pisacane
