Bologna, first joy in Europa League: beaten by measure FCSB'FCSB

Bologna’s first Europa League victory came on the road. The Rossoblù routed Bucharest’s Arena Nationala with goals from Odgaard and Dallinga, while Birligea’s goal for FCSB was not enough for the hosts to complete the comeback.
One terrible two from Bologna in the early stages: on 9′ Odgaard unlocked the game from two steps on an assist from Dallinga; three minutes later it was the same Dallinga who doubled by taking advantage of Tarnovanu’s rebound on a deflected shot by Lykogiannis. On 33′ came Orsolini′’s tic-tac-toe but the Azzurro was offside on Freuler’s assist, then Skorupski overcame himself by denying the hosts a goal with five decisive saves within four minutes.
At the start of the second half, the hosts shortened the gap with the newly entered Birligea, who beat Skorupski in an acrobatic move. At 72′ the Emilians came close to a hat trick with Dallinga but Tarnovanu denied him a double. In the final still Tarnovanu and the post deny the third goal to the red-blues.
Thanks to this victory, Bologna climbs to 5 points in the standings of the single round of the Europa League. In the next round, coach Vincenzo Italiano’s men will take on Brann at home on Thursday, Nov. 6.
