Boxing, Kali Reis to star in new season of True Detective

As reported by ESPN, Kali Reis, WBA and WBO junior welterweight champion, will star in the new season of True Detective. The 35-year-old boxer will work alongside two-time Best Actress Oscar winner Jodie Foster.
Kali Reis will play the role of detective Evangeline Navarro. The plot involves an investigation into the disappearance of six men in Ennis, Alaska. This is an important role for the boxing champion who had her last fight last Nov. 19, 2021, when she won over Jessica Camara while retaining her two belts. Kali Reis has been a professional boxer since 2008.
