MotoGp, Alex Rins excited to return to Phillip Island
Alex Rins is happy to race in Australia
Alex Rins is happy to return to the Australian Grand Prix where it has not been raced since 2019. In fact, restrictions due to the pandemic have removed the Phillip Island round from the MotoGp calendar for the past two years.
The Suzuki team rider put it this way, “I think everyone already knows that Phillip Island is one of my favorite destinations and circuits! There is something special and magical about this place. It has been a while since we last raced here and that makes me even more excited. It’s not an easy track, but it’s a fun race! I hope for a great weekend.”
The Spanish rider is currently in 11th position in the riders’ world championship, and he wants to score points at the track where he won in Moto2 in 2015.
After six titles won by Valentino Rossi in eight years it was the Spanish riders who took the lion’s share of the MotoGp world championship. From 2012 to 2020 only they have won, with Jorge Lorenzo a two-time world champion, Marc Marquez (6) and Joan Mir, triumphant in 2020 with his Suzuki.
