George Russell takes last free practice in Abu Dhabi, Lewis Hamilton to the wall

It is George Russell the fastest driver of the last free practice session of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the last round of the Formula One World Championship, in which Lando Norris, Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri are playing for the title. At the Yas Marina circuit, the Mercedes driver lapped in 1’23″334, signing the fastest time.

Behind the Briton there&#8217s the McLaren of Lando Norris –fastest in both the first and second free practice sessions -, mocked by only four thousandths. While Max Verstappen, at the wheel of his Red Bull, finished third, just over a tenth behind leader Russell.

Fifth time, however, for the’other McLaren of Oscar Piastri, just over two tenths behind his teammate, beaten by Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) who finished in fourth place. Only eighth was the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc, overtaken by the two Haas of Esteban Ocon and Ollie Bearman. To be forgotten, however, was Lewis Hamilton’s last free practice session, who ended up on the wall in Turn 9, damaging the right front of the car.
