Mariah Carey is the first major international guest at the Opening Ceremony of the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, scheduled for February 6, 2026 at Milan’s San Siro Stadium.

“Recognized worldwide for her unmistakable voice and a musical production capable of crossing generations and cultures, Mariah Carey fully embodies the emotional atmosphere that accompanies the path to the Games” the note reads.

“In this scenario, music, a universal language that brings together different histories and sensibilities, is intertwined with the guiding theme of the Opening Ceremony: Harmony. At the San Siro, this principle will take shape in the encounter of cultures, creativity and participation – the statement continues. Sports, with its values of equality, respect and inclusion, amplify this narrative, transforming Harmony into a shared experience. Together, music and sports give life to a Ceremony where Harmony becomes a living experience, a symbolic place where communities meet, cross borders and recognize themselves as part of the same collective energy of the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic Games. The participation of Mariah Carey is further proof of the international scope of the Ceremony and its messages”.

“The Opening Ceremony of Milano Cortina 2026, created by Balich Wonder Studio, will be an unrepeatable experience: a big collective embrace that weaves Italian Spirit, innovation, emotion and the participation of international artists. A one-of-a-kind event designed to surprise, unite and leave an indelible memory in spectators around the world” ends the note.
