Inter market, unexpected turn for veteran: leave immediately in January because he plays little

In January, Inter could make a surprise transfer: according to rumors, the Nerazzurri in the winter market could say goodbye to veteran Stefan De Vrij. The Dutch central defender, who has been playing for the Biscione since 2018, is reportedly dissatisfied with his current employment under Cristian Chivu and is ready to leave the team in a few weeks. De Vrij has played just seven games so far this season, for just over 490′ which just does not satisfy the Dutch player.

De Vrij, under contract until June 2026, does not want to miss the call-up with the Netherlands and the 2026 World Cup in North America, which he definitely wants to attend. The player has thus instructed his agents to look for a club for a possible January departure: suitors would also be in Italy but especially abroad. De Vrij is comfortable in Milan, but he is willing to stay only if there is an increase in the minutes available to him and if he receives certainties from Cristian Chivu. But at the moment the Romanian coach doesn&#8217t really see the Dutchman, behind even Bisseck in the hierarchies.

According to calciomercato.it reports, De Vrij would also have an interest in Saudi Arabia: on his tracks would be the Al-Hilal of his former coach Simone Inzaghi, who would be precisely looking for an experienced defender like the Dutchman. De Vrij also is represented by Federico Pastorello, the same agent as Simone Inzaghi. Inter would be ready to let De Vrij leave, but in case the defender, whose contract expires next June, is sold, they will have to take a replacement immediately.

Inter is grappling with another thorny situation, that of Valentin Carboni. The Nerazzurri-owned fantasist, back from a serious knee injury, has not yet returned to his former self, and the experience on loan at Genoa does not seem to have benefited him: the talented Argentine played just 354 total minutes, too little according to the Biscione management, which has decided to immediately terminate his loan and bring him back to Milan.

The Inter team has decided to take him back to Inter.

Valentin Carboni found little space with the Grifone shirt both under Patrick Vieira and after the arrival of Daniele De Rossi. Inter have thus decided to call him back to Milan and have already agreed with Genoa on a loan break. The player will not remain in the Nerazzurri, but will again be transferred on a temporary basis to another Serie A club: interested clubs would include Sassuolo, Parma and Pisa.
