Valentino Rossi closes out a 2025 of confirmations and new successes

Although competing in fewer races overall than in 2024, Valentino Rossi was also able to take great satisfaction in the recently concluded motorsport season, confirming himself as one of the main protagonists of Team WRT, a partnership in its sixteenth year in four-wheel racing. The nine-time MotoGP champion took great satisfaction in one of the temples of world speed, winning together with Kelvin van der Linde and Charles Weerts the Indianapolis 8 Hours last October 18 at the wheel of a BMW M4 GT3 Evo, a car with which he confirmed his skills at the wheel.
In the season’s palmarès there’s also a second place in one of the most challenging races of the year, the Bathurst 12 Hours contested at the beginning of the season, on February 2, with Raffaele Marciello and Charles Weerts alternating with the Doctor in the number 46 car. The one on the Mount Panorama circuit, moreover, had been a triumphant day for Team WRT, winner with Augusto Farfus, Kelvin van der Linde and the latter’s younger brother, Sheldon. “Our 16th season has come to an end – said Vincent Vosse, co-CEO of Team WRT -, and what a season it was! Once again it proved to be extraordinary, with six titles won and important victories in legendary races such as Bathurst, Suzuka and Indianapolis”.
“I want to express a huge thank you to all the people involved in these projects– added Vosse. Their commitment, responsiveness and tireless work have been invaluable and fundamental to achieving all the goals”:
In the same vein are the statements of the Belgian outfit’s other co-CEO, Kathleen Schurmans: “What we have achieved in 2025 is extraordinary, both in the scale of the challenges we faced and in the way we overcame them. We were able to bring together five operating sites into one structure, smoothly and effectively. We opened WRT USA in a few months and welcomed 30 new colleagues without any interruption”.
“We have done more than ever for our philanthropic projects, supporting vulnerable children not only financially, but also with the heart, presence and personal commitment of our people– added Schurmans. In addition to this, we have continued to do what has always set us apart: we have won tenders, grown and advanced together”.
“We have grown from 140 to almost 180 people. This moment of reflection is unique: every single person has made a difference. Everyone should be deeply proud of their contribution, because our success belongs to all of them” then concluded the executive of the team with which Valentino Rossi continues to take important sporting satisfaction.
