The chances of seeing Novak Djokovic conquer the 25th Grand Slam tournament are slim according to former British tennis player Tim Henman, who in an interview with the podcast “The Tennis” gave the Serbian outfielder very little chance ahead of the Australian Open scheduled for early this year in Melbourne. According to Henman, Djokovic cannot keep up with Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, who improve their tennis with each confrontation, moving the bar to a level now unattainable even for Nole.

"That is, regardless of voluntariness, Sinner was still responsible"

"I think the way the case was handled did not make our sport"
The world number one in women’s tennis Aryna Sabalenka, by her side during the'interview, instead defended the Blue

"I believe in clean sport and I believe that everyone should be treated equally"
"In this case, to be honest, I don’t think there was anything wrong"
"Personally I try to be careful about everything, maybe even overprotecting myself"

"Why you can eat something at a restaurant and turn out to be positive"

Kyrgios back on Sinner still admitted how strong the'Azure

"The way Sinner reacted was unbelievable"
"He accepted the stop, took a break and then on the comeback almost won Rome"

"There is no doubt that he will become one of the greatest players of all time"

“Djokovic might get to hit another Grand Slam final, but I think it just depends on whether someone else eliminates Carlos Alcaraz or Jannik Sinner” first. According to Henman, Djokovic is now feeling the full weight of the years: “I think the real problem is physicality, especially physical recovery as you get older: it certainly doesn&#8217t get any easier to do that. The scary thing is that Alcaraz and Sinner are still improving, in addition to the fact that they are much younger than Nole. It is a disturbing thought even for Nole”.

“I feel pretty confident in saying that unless something strange happens, the final in Melbourne 2025 will again be a talk between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner”, Henman opined. The overtake between Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner came at the end of 2023, when the Blue defeated the Serb in the Davis Cup Finals, after losing a few days earlier in the ATP Finals.Since then, the South Tyrolean has strung together a five-match winning streak against Djokovic, eliminating him at the 2024 Australian Open, Roland Garros 2025 and Wimbledon 2025.

The Alcaraz has been a top seed in the world of tennis.

Sinner and Alcaraz will meet at the beginning of the year in the draw of the’AO 1 Point Slam, the “appetizer tournament” of the Australian Open characterized by matches decided by playing a single point, next Jan. 14. Joining the two of them will be WTA champions Iga Swiatek and Coco Gauff, and Nick Kyrgios is also expected to attend.

The “winner-takes-all” formula includes a draw that will determine who will be given the serve and the’only point played will be the decisive one for winning the mini-match. The draw will include not only professional tennis players but also amateur players selected on the basis of specific eliminations organized by Tennis Australia. The prize pool is more than half a million euros.
