There&#8217s one franchise that is shining right now in the NBA regular season. It is San Antonio. Having regained Wembanyama, the Spurs have raised the level of their basketball even higher. Thanks to the victory against Washington (124-113), the black-and-silver players collected their 21st win of the season (compared to only seven losses) and are now the second force in the Western Conference, behind OKC. After the disappointment of losing the NBA Cup final, the Spurs are enjoying the regular season and are starting to become a problem for opponents.

Victor Wenbanyama is getting taller
The 21-year-old NBA star still hasn’t stopped growing
The giant Spurs center in recent months has grown another inch and a half
His official height is now that of 2.23 meters, up from 2.22 last season

"I have been working very hard on my physique", explained the French player

"I think I reached my full potential in just one summer"
"I’ve made so much progress, I’m stronger and the scale also says bigger"

Wembanyama overcame the venous thrombosis in his right shoulder from which he had suffered last February
The San Antonio star in 46 games averaged 24.3 points and 11 rebounds
"Spending time in a Shaolin monastery was an incredible experience", revealed the Frenchman
"I came out of my comfort zone, I wanted to do it but I did not expect an experience on the physical level so different"

In the success that accrued against the Wizards, as many as seven players from the Spurs roster scored with Wembanyama who, starting from the bench, scored 14 points in 22′ of play (with also 12 rebounds). San Antonio plays good basketball and, more importantly, wins often. A golden moment for the Spurs. Less so for Houston, which surprisingly lost the challenge to Sacramento. The Kings, at the end of a contest of many emotions, won at the 125-124 overtime.

High-scoring game the one between Chicago and Atlanta, won by the Bulls in a sprint: 152-150 (record in this NBA season). Young scores 35 points but misses on the final play, leaving the win to the Bulls (third in a row). The good momentum continues for Minnesota who, although struggling more than expected, manage to get the better of the challenge with Milwaukee, still orphaned by Antetokounmpo. It ends 103-100 for the T’Wolves dragged by the usual Edwards, author of 24 points (although with a horrid 2/11 from three).

Bitter Fontecchio. The bluebird scored seven points (in 17′ of play) but saw his Heat lose the challenge to the Knicks (132-125). The fresh NBA Cup winners thank their superstar Brunson. The Knicks’ point guard finishes with an impressive 47 points (his season high), certifying a moment of exceptional form. Miami loses its seventh contest out of the last eight played.

Important success for Brooklyn, which took advantage of Toronto’s bad moment: 96-91 the final. For the Canadians, who had surprised at the beginning of the season, this is the sixth defeat in the last nine games. Porter Jr. was decisive, putting up an impressive 24 points, to which he also added 11 rebounds.
