Roma market, it’s done for Zirkzee. Now the Azzurri star and two top disposals

This is it, Joshua Zirkzee is about to become a Roma striker. The Giallorossi club is working frantically to please coach Gian Piero Gasperini, especially regarding the battery of strikers at the coach’s disposal: Zirkzee is about to return to Italy after his disappointing experience at Manchester United. Sporting director Frederic Massara has been working overtime to find an agreement with the Red Devils, now within reach after weeks of tight negotiations with the English club.
The former Bologna forward will arrive on loan with the right of redemption set for a sum between 35 and 40 million euros: the obligation of redemption will be triggered in case Roma qualifies for the next edition of the Champions League. Zirkzee, also seeking a revival in the World Cup, will leave Manchester after 60 appearances and 8 goals. In addition to him, the Giallorossi club is working to bring Giacomo Raspadori to the capital immediately in January. Also in this case Massara will have to convince Atletico Madrid to sell the player on loan with right of redemption.
The two incoming strikes will be matched by two exits: departing in January will be one of Evan Ferguson and Artem Dovbyk, with the former favored to bid farewell after Gasperini’s harsh words in a recent press conference. “Evan isn’t convincing me and I didn’t like him even in the end, not because of a technical issue. He did not get into this spirit and like him some other new acquisitions. We did not serve Dybala or Soulé well, but they have a much higher technical quality. We cannot even compare them dai”.
Roma is reportedly in talks with Brighton over the Englishman’s loan break. The other outgoing player could be one between Bailey and Baldanzi. The Jamaican is unable to contribute on a continuous basis, partly and mainly because of continuing physical discomfort that is affecting his performance.
Tsimikas could also leave: the player has ended up behind Angelino and Rensch, so much so that he has not seen the field for quite some time now. He, too, arrived on loan (from Liverpool). The feeling is that a solution is being sought away from Rome.
