Great excitement on NBA night. At the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, the Spurs celebrated a heavy victory over OKC (130-110 the final). For the neroargento it was the second viictory, in 10 days, over the reigning NBA champions. A success that paves the way for the Christmas clash, scheduled for Christmas at the Paycom Center. For the Thunder, it was a stinging defeat, especially since Wembanyama and his teammates seem to have found the recipe to keep them from playing their basketball.

Victor Wenbanyama is getting taller
The 21-year-old NBA star still hasn’t stopped growing
The giant Spurs center in recent months has grown another inch and a half
His official height is now that of 2.23 meters, up from 2.22 last season

"I have been working very hard on my physique", explained the French player

"I think I reached my full potential in just one summer"
"I’ve made so much progress, I’m stronger and the scale also says bigger"

Wembanyama overcame the venous thrombosis in his right shoulder from which he had suffered last February
The San Antonio star in 46 games averaged 24.3 points and 11 rebounds
"Spending time in a Shaolin monastery was an incredible experience", revealed the Frenchman
"I stepped out of my comfort zone, I wanted to do it but I did not expect an experience on the physical level so different"

The’beginning of a great rivalry? Wembanyama is not convinced: “To say it is a rivalry would be strange, because it is something that builds naturally. I didn&#8217t say it&#8217s impossible for a rivalry to arise in the future. I hope it will be soon. We are definitely getting closer to that kind of rivalry. They will probably be more focused than ever in the upcoming Christmas challenge. It is a resourceful team, but we will also be ready” the words of the Spurs star reported by ESPN.

“They really played the game according to their plan, on both halves of the field. They did everything they wanted to do on offense, and then defensively, they held us down, forcing us to play poorly most of the time. When you play against a good team, you can’t play poorly for long periods because the team loses its fluidity. And then, before anything can be done, you look up and you find yourself at a distinct disadvantage” the words of Gilgeous-Alexander (33 points) reported by ESPN.

In the other games, Cleveland scrambled New Orleans (141-118) while Charlotte beat Washington (126-109 the final). Brooklyn also did well, getting the better of its challenge with Philadelphia: 114-106). Minnesota took a big hit: 115-104 against New York. Heavy defeat of the LA Lakers who, without Doncic, lost to Phoenix (132-108). Detroit wins: 136-127 over Sacramento. Smile also for LA Clippers: 128-108 over Houston.

Chicago’s sprint victory over Atlanta (126-123). Indiana loses again: 111-94 to Milwaukee. Only five points by Fontecchio in Miami’s loss to Toronto (112-91).
