Serie A, Bologna brakes again: draw with Sassuolo in derby

Another setback for Italiano’s Bologna, stuck 1-1 in the derby against Sassuolo valid for the 17th day of Serie A. Fabbian was answered by Muharemovic after an error by Ravaglia.The Rossoblù,who have not won in the league since last Nov. 22, remain seventh on 26 points, while the neroverdi are tenth on 22.

After an initial study phase, the match livens up with at least three important chances. The guests came close to taking the lead on 30′ with Pinamonti, after a wrong pass by Lucumì: two minutes later Candé saved on the line on Dallinga’s surefire conclusion, with Muric beaten. In the final minutes of the half, the neroverdi had another great chance with Volpato, who sent his shot just wide.

At the beginning of the second half Bologna broke through: at 48′ Orsolini finds Zortea who crosses for Fabbian, who scores with a first touch that pierces Muric. Italiano’s team grows but at 64′ the Dall’Ara is frozen by Sassuolo’s equalizing goal: Ravaglia misses the exit on the development of a corner and Muharemovic’s header finds the 1-1.

Hot derby finale with the long teams looking for the winning goal: Italiano inserted Immobile, who at 75’wasted from a few steps in front of Muric. But Sassuolo responded blow by blow and at 77′ Fadera missed, throwing away another gift from Lucumì. It ends in a draw, Bologna has not won in the league for more than a month now.
