Serie A 2025-2026: Roma-Genoa, the likely lineups

The 17th day of Serie A closes with the challenge between Roma and Genoa. Kickoff at 8:45 p.m. at the Olimpico. The Giallorossi are hunting for redemption after the loss to Juventus: they need the three points to return to the top four. They are no better off than the Rossoblù, coming off two defeats in a row, who are looking for important points to move away from the relegation zone.
Gasperini seems oriented to launch Ferguson in attack, supported on the three-quarter by Soulé and Dybala. The returning Dovbyk and El Shaarawy remain ready from the bench, while the injured Pellegrini and Bailey will not be available. In the middle of the field, space is given to the Cristante-Koné pair, with Celik and Wesley manning the outside lanes. In defense, however, Hermoso, now recovered from injury, is expected to return from the first minute.
De Rossi must forgo the disqualified Leali in goal: Sommariva will take his place. In defense, Ostigard is back, a candidate to start from the beginning, while in the middle Ellertsson is heading for confirmation; Thorsby, not at his best, should start from the bench. On the flanks will act Norton-Cuffy and Martin, with Ekuban and Vitinha forming the offensive pair.
