“I think it is really special that we are going to the Tour de France this year – added the British rider. “We earned our place, as a team, because of our performance last year: that gave us the right to be there and nobody can take that away from us. It’s a great opportunity. In the last few years in the Tour de France I have experienced ups and downs, so it is nice now, with this new team, to earn our place there”.

“It is the biggest stage we can race on – added the Pinarello Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team rider. “And with that comes a huge load of pressure, but I think in this team they help me sustain it. I think, personally, my main goal is to go there, enjoy the suffering, enjoy the intensity of the race. If we can enjoy all that, including suffering, as a team, then the results will come”.

“We are a growing team, so having the opportunity to race the Tour is just another step along the way. Obviously, our goal is to be in the Tour de France every year, racing for wins every season. It is simply another rung on the ladder that we want to climb” concluded Pidcock.
