Milan Cortina 2026: all Italians competing today Feb. 9

After the medal haul (as many as six, a silver and six bronze medals, an absolute record for a single day) on Sunday, Italy goes on the hunt for more successes to further improve its medal tally which, at the moment, sees our country in third place with as many as nine medals won, more than any other nation present at Milan Cortina 2026. Today the Olympic program is very rich and with many Azzurri competing.

We will have to wait until 5 p.m. to enjoy luge: women’s singles heat 1 (Sandra Robatscher, Verena Hofer). At about the same time, speed skating: women’s 1000m (Maybritt Vigl).

In the evening curling returns: mixed doubles, semifinals (Stefania Constantini, Amos Mosaner). Almost simultaneously again luge with women’s singles heat 2 (Sandra Robatscher, Verena Hofer). Dinner in the company of ski jumping: men’s individual normal springboard, round 1 (Giovanni Bresadola, Francesco Cecon, Alex Insam). Then figure skating: ice dance, rhythmic dance (Charlène Guignard, Marco Fabbri). Space also for snowboarding: women’s big air, final round (ev. Marilù Poluzzi) and, to close, again ski jumping: men’s individual normal trampoline, final round (Giovanni Bresadola, Francesco Cecon, Alex Insam).

In short, lots of competitions and just as many blue athletes aiming to bring home more valuable medals to make Milan Cortina 2026 more and more exciting. The chances of other prestigious successes are certainly not lacking.
