From Bayern to oblivion, the champion is desperate

Last summer Bayern Munich was desperate for a new striker and sounded out several profiles including that of Darwin Núñez: the Uruguayan was on his way out of Liverpool and had several contacts with Max Eberl to discuss the possibility of his transfer to Germany. The player’s demands and the high valuation of the English champions dashed the negotiations.
Darwin Núñez then packed his bags and moved to Saudi Arabia to wear the Al Hilal jersey, but in recent weeks he has ended up in oblivion: the club has bought Karim Benzema and there is no more room for Núñez. The Uruguayan striker was dropped from the list for the Saudi Pro League by coach Simone Inzaghi’s decision and will therefore be allowed to play exclusively in the Asian Champions League. Clearly the situation, as easily predictable, has sparked great discontent in the’former Liverpool man who now wants to leave the Saudi club.
According to the latest rumors, Darwin Núñez has reportedly asked his entourage to find him a new arrangement for the upcoming summer soccer market window but if he wants to return to Europe he will have to significantly reduce his salary: he currently earns almost 26 million euros a year including bonuses. It is not impossible to think that Bayern Munich will return to the charge for the Uruguayan: the club is looking for a replacement for Nicolas Jackson and could make a new attempt. Everything will depend on the valuation that Al Hilal will make: the sheikhs last summer shelled out 53 million euros to bring him to Riyadh.
Max Eberl is also monitoring with great interest the situation involving Dusan Vlahovic: the Serbian center forward is expiring his contract with Juventus and could leave the Bianconeri club for free. The club is trying to convince him to renew but Vlahovic has not yet made a final decision and Bayern Munich could take advantage of it. Also on his trail are AC Milan and Barcelona.
