In recent days, rumors have been swirling about Harry Kane’s possible farewell to Bayern Munich at the end of the season. The English striker is stunning again this year for his goal average: as of mid-February he has already scored 41, in 35 games in all competitions. Last weekend he reached 500 career goals after his double at Werder Bremen, and he is considered the strongest number 9 in Europe by most pundits.

This has not, however, quelled rumors of his possible move to Saudi Arabia next summer. In Kane’s contract, according to reports, there would be a termination clause valid until 2027, worth 65 million euros, thanks to which the player could free himself.

According to legend Lothar Matthäus, Bayern Munich need not worry about these rumors: “I don’t think he will leave Bayern. Money is not his priority; the most important thing is to feel comfortable, with coaches, teammates and family” he told Sky.

“In Monaco he settled well with his children; bringing his family with him was a key step. In Saudi Arabia he would probably earn three or four times as much, but I really don’t think he is interested. In fact, I am convinced that Harry Kane will soon renew his contract with Bayern”.

Bayern sporting director Max Eberl a few days ago hinted at the’beginning of a possible negotiation for the English striker&#8217s contract extension: “All I can say is that we are in close contact with Harry regarding him and the good of Bayern. The other steps will follow”.

Kane arrived from Tottenham in 2023 for about 100 million euros, and last season he won his first career title, taking the Bundesliga as a star player in a Bayern shirt.
