Federica Brignone was crystal clear after the double Olympic gold: “Me in Sanremo? No thanks. I’m a skier and I remain a skier. I let the singers do their job”. Carlo Conti, however, will try hard to convince the Aosta Valley native to take the Ariston stage, where, moreover, she already appeared in 2024 for a quick guest appearance. The goal this time, however, would be to obviously give her more space, but without making her sing, which she has made it clear that she does not know how and wants to do.

On the day of her second incredible Olympic gold medal, Brignone was also back to talk about her future, which could also be without skis on her feet. Retirement is a’hypothesis that, although she did not name it, the Valle d’Aosta woman did not rule out speaking to the many journalists who took her by storm in Cortina: “The plan is to return to J Medical next week, then I have some commitments in Milan and afterwards I will decide what to do”.

“The next step is to go back to J Medical and see how things are going. So far I have really held on, I have been taking anti-inflammatories every day, that is enough now. Either my leg holds up, meaning I can still ski more or less without having to resort to anti-inflammatories, or else we’ll see. Fear of the’onslaught of my personal life? Yes, I want to live my normal life, with my friends at home, do all the things I like, I want to live my life, I give less of a damn about being in the spotlight, honestly, the more I go on, the less I give a damn”, the tiger had added.

“I felt like I had a so-so run – he had told Rai hot on the heels -, I tried to push as hard as I could and at the finish I didn’t even look at the screen with the times right away. I only heard screaming and from there I didn’t understand anything more. I turned to look at the scoreboard to get confirmation, I didn”t understand how it went”.

“The secret of the race? I tried to live it simply like any other race, thinking about my skiing: it was the most beautiful thing, because I really enjoyed it”, among the first words spoken by Federica Brignone after the triumph.
