Turned down Bayern, now dreams of moving to Munich

Last summer Bayern Munich was desperate for a top-level left back and Max Eberl evaluated many profiles. Among the leading candidates was Athletic&#8217s Nico Williams: the Spanish outfielder was courted for a long time by Bayern Munich and there were plenty of talks with his entourage but in the end the deal did not materialize and the star remained in Spain.

Things, however, did not go so well with Nico Williams: he is having several difficulties this season and does not have a good relationship with the fans. According to the Spanish press, the champion has informed his entourage of his desire to leave the Bilbao club and has asked to consider whether there’s still an option to move to Bayern Munich. Evidently Nico Williams regretted turning down the Bavarian club and changed his mind: now he wants to play in Germany.

With the Nico Williams deal done, Bayern Munich last summer landed Luis Diaz for 70 million euros and the Colombian is shining with excellent performances. This season the former Liverpool man has scored 19 goals and served 15 assists and Arne Slot misses him greatly. Recently Luis Diaz gave an interview to Sky Sports: “I thank God to be in this team, I am very happy and grateful. When FC Bayern contacted me, I knew from the first moment that I wanted to make this transfer. It filled me with pride because I had known the club for a long time and I knew what to expect”.

Luis Diaz was particularly impressed by Harry Kane: “I saw him play in England because we played against Tottenham several times. But it&#8217s one thing to see him as an opponent, it&#8217s another to share the locker room with him and to be on the training field with him every day… To see how he moves, how he asks for the ball, how he works for the team, how he scores: he”.
