Bayern, in the crosshairs is also the German champion

Bayern Munich will in all likelihood intervene in the market in the summer to shore up the defense.
Vincent Kompany would like to replenish the department, and the need for a new player would become even more apparent should Kim Min-jae leave the club. The South Korean has long expressed a desire for a change of scenery to play more and Max Eberl is monitoring several possible replacements.
Among them is Malick Thiaw, who has already been approached by Bayern Munich when he wore the Milan jersey. The young defender was bought from Newcastle last summer for 35 million euros but after just 12 months he could already be leaving England.
The player is not happy with the situation at the club and has never hidden his desire to return to play in Germany.
Bayern Munich will make an attempt but convincing Newcastle to sell Malick Thiaw will not be easy: he has a contract until 2029 with the Magpies and for the managers he is one of the elements on which to build the team of the coming years. The chances of a move to Bavaria could increase should Thiaw himself explicitly ask for a transfer to Newcastle, but, at least so far, the defender has not been forthcoming.
Max Eberl is also evaluating other profiles to shore up the defense, with a special look at the expiring player market. Johns Stones and Marcos Senesi especially stand out among them: the former is determined to try a new experience after so many years in Manchester, the latter has already informed Bournemouth of his desire to make a change. Stones would be a very experienced element and could greatly help Vincent Kompany but he has received several phone calls from Saudi Arabia and there is a possibility that he will accept the Arabs’ very rich offers.
Marcos Senesi is among the most sought-after players on the market: Juventus, Barcelona, Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund also like him. It is not often that you get the chance to buy a footballer of his level without shelling out a euro, which is why the competition is very fierce.
