We are only in February, but the decisively premature elimination from the Champions League has anticipated the revolution that will affect Inter next season, starting with the goalkeeper. Yann Sommer is preparing to say goodbye on a zero-parameter basis after three intense seasons, made up of lights and shadows. A replacement with suitable personality and resume will be needed: from the dream Mile Svilar to the more affordable option Guglielmo Vicario. Also to be evaluated is the fate of Josep MartĂnez, a reliable second but perhaps not yet ready for the starting role.

The'former Milan and Real Madrid coach was not tender with the Nerazzurri after the defeat with Bodo
"I saw an'Inter too slow in all plays, without speed"
"She tried to enter centrally and failed"

"What really impressed me is that no one was able to dribble an opponent"

"There'was no one-on-one, no dribbling…"

"In the first half Chivu’s men played often on the right, but without creating danger"

"I thought Dimarco could be the'extra man, but he was never looked for with field changes"

"The Nerazzurri did not play with the speed needed to beat an attentive team like Bodo"

Bordered also Chivu: "Sucic entered too late"

In defense, Akanji represents a solid base despite the mistake that cost him elimination in UEFA Champions League. If it will be redeemed by the Manchester City, it will likely flank Alessandro Bastoni and Yann Bisseck. In certain output, however, Francesco Acerbi, Stefan de Vrij and Matteo Darmian, all at the end of their contracts.

The midfield is also preparing to change its face. Henrikh Mkhitaryan is unlikely to extend, while Hakan Calhanoglu, conditioned by injuries and a year away from expiring, could return to the market. The Galatasaray has been following him for some time and the coach Okan Buruk openly esteems him. It is not ruled out that he will stay another season before saying goodbye to Italy. Instead, Sucic and Piotr Zielinski should stay. Poised Davide Frattesi, while Nicolò Barella is no longer untouchable: in front of a suitable offer, he could leave. As for Denzel Dumfries, the 25 million clause remains a concrete option; for Luis Henrique, possible offers are awaited.

In attack, the project goes by the choices of Cristian Chivu, who promoted Pio Esposito with flying colors. Lautaro Martinez is the only one really untouchable. Different is the case for Marcus Thuram: despite 12 goals on the season, his recent performance has disappointed. Arriving as a free agent in 2023, he would guarantee a significant capital gain and Inter is ready to consider offers. There are incedibles, of course, but even the most successful pairs can part ways when the technical and economic project requires it.
