Qatar-Ecuador makes Nitto ATP Finals schedule change
Change of program
ATP and FIT have announced a change in the timing of the Nitto ATP Finals. The finals session, scheduled for Sunday, November 20, will begin at 4 p.m. CET with the doubles tournament final and continue with the singles final, scheduled not earlier than 7 p.m. CET. The postponement was decided to ensure the best global audience for the most important event of the 2022 edition of the ATP Tour. In fact, the postponement to November 20 of the opening ceremony and first match of the World Cup, which will kick off in Qatar with the match between the home team and Ecuador, would have resulted in an overlap with the conduct of the singles final, currently scheduled for 5 p.m. CET. Schedules for all previous days will not be affected.
Sunday, November 20, will be a day of great spectacle for all of Turin and for the thousands of Italian and foreign tourists who will be in the Piedmontese capital. In addition to the singles and doubles finals scheduled inside the Pala Alpitour, from the morning the Fan Village will be open to all with free access, thus replicating what will happen on Saturday, November 12, the day of its inauguration. From Sunday 13 to Saturday 19, the area will be reserved for ticket holders until 9 p.m., when access will be free.
Inside the Fan Village there will be a 3600-square-meter covered area, divided into a shopping area and a food court, where every fan can satisfy his or her tennis craving and build unforgettable memories. The Nitto ATP Finals trophy will be displayed in the heart of the Fan Village, while mascots Lob and Drop will enliven the day, guiding spectators through the stands and interacting with them.
