Juve, Allegri vents in press room: ‘Fantasies about Chiesa and Pogba’
Juve coach Massimiliano Allegri: “Neither of them will be there.”
Neither Chiesa nor Pogba will be available for Juventus’ match against Empoli. Massimiliano Allegri was clear in his press conference, “Chiesa is still not available, neither he nor Pogba will be there. One has done two training sessions with the team, the other only partial work with the group. You write things with a world fantasy. Fantasy in power is a beautiful thing, but tomorrow they will not be there.”
“I too would like to have everyone available, especially to give changes,” continued the Tuscan coach. “Chiesa has made progress, a friendly will be organized Saturday morning to assess his fitness, while Paul has done some partial work with the team, but he hasn’t done serious training since July 23. We have to give him time, not rush to have him one game earlier. That would be pure madness.”
On managing Bonucci: “Like everyone I have to try to manage his strengths, but he is fundamental both when he plays and when he doesn’t play. Then it is normal that energies are different from when you are 20 years old. Fortunately behind I have 6 defenders and I can rotate them, while in high roles I have to ask for more effort. He however is a responsible man and is always an added value to the team.”
