Zanetti reveals a hidden gift of the Taurus

Javier Zanetti, vice-president of Inter Milan, spoke about his compatriot Lautaro Martinez in an episode of the series ‘The Fantastic 10’ that airs on the statistics website Calcio.com.

The Nerazzurri legend began, “You could see he had a great future. I spoke with Milito when the boy was starting to take his first steps in Racing; then he made his first-team debut, but you could see that he was a player who could aspire to much more. He immediately accepted our proposal, when it was thought that maybe he could go to another club. But then after a long negotiation he signed with us.”

“I am very happy that Lautaro is here at Inter,” Zanetti continued, “Everything he is showing confirms the vision we had. He is growing season after season, he has become a reference point both for us and for the Argentine national team.”

The historic captain of the Beneamata emphasized the fact that Lautaro is “very generous with the team, he also helps so much in the defensive phase. He has great timing for the header, he has scored so many goals like that, and then he is someone who always asks for depth because he has great strength in his legs and because of that he also has a good dribbling.”

There was also no lack of appreciation from the human point of view: “He has always been a responsible guy, very professional. He understood right away that he came to a big club and he shows it Sunday after Sunday. I think he feels good together with us and that is why he is doing very well.”

Finally Zanetti revealed a hidden gift of Toro: “He is a great cook, he even cooks asado well. He offers these big tables of meat to his teammates to make a group and that’s a very positive thing.”
