Juventus’ 2-0 victory over Atalanta returned the Bianconeri to lone first place in the standings. Despite 17 wins in the last 18 days Massimiliano Allegri prefers to keep his feet on the ground.
“The boys are doing well, of the last 18 games we have won 17 but the second and third are still close. The championship will be decided on the last day. There are ten games left, six of them at home and four away: the thought now goes to Sassuolo, which is in great shape,” his words to the microphones of ‘Premium Sport’.
Many in Europe have been enormously impressed by the work the Livorno coach has done on the ‘Old Lady’s’ bench. Allegri, however, prefers to ward off rumors about his own future: “I am in full agreement with the club, I still have a year left on my contract and I see no reason to rush things. There are no problems, I am at Juve, I am at a great club and we have to think about winning at the end of the year.”
A final comment on Paul Pogba: “He had a good first half then got nervous with the caution. He has to improve on that, nothing should faze a player during a match, you have to be ready for every eventuality: a yellow card cannot affect,” Allegri then concluded.
