Brindisi, important news in Frank Vitucci’s staff
New on Vitucci’s staff
The staff of Happy Casa Brindisi coach Frank Vitucci expands. The Apulian club, through its channels, announced that Fabio Corbani is the new assistant coach of Happy Casa Brindisi.
“Milanese born in 1966, he will be the first assistant coach of coach Frank Vitucci, completing the biancoazzurro technical staff with the confirmed Mattia Consoli. Great experience in the youth sectors of Italy (Milan 1991-1997, Casalpusterlengo 1999-2003, Treviso 2006-2009) he holds the record of four junior championships won in ten years, consecrated in 2009 by the Reverberi Award for the youth section and in 2016 of the qualification of ‘well-deserving coach’ by FIP. During his career he has served as head coach in Novara, Piacenza, Biella, Rome (Virtus and Eurobasket), Orzinuovi in Legadue and Cantù in Serie A. In January 2021, he joined the coaching staff of the Swiss national team in the Eurobasket 2022 qualifiers. The ‘Brindisi connection’ ties up with Frank Vitucci and Simone Giofrè: Corbani was in fact Vitucci’s assistant at Benetton Treviso in the 2009/10 season and worked as head coach with Giofrè in the role of general manager at Virtus Roma 2016/17,” reads the note from the Bianco-azzurro club.
