Ducati, Pecco Bagnaia confesses, “I got scared.”
Pecco Bagnaia redeems himself in Assen after recent crashes
Pecco Bagnaia strikes a blow at Assen, commanding the Dutch Grand Prix from start to finish and taking advantage of Fabio Quartararo’s crash to move closer in the standings. “It was a very long race,” the Ducati centaur told Sky. “The first time I looked at the lap count, there were still 24 laps to go and it seemed like way too many. In any case, I’m extremely happy, after two very complicated races where we were competitive but where we didn’t get results.”
The raindrops after half the race made him apprehensive: “It had started to rain towards the middle of the race and I got scared, however, in the end winning here means that we are really very strong. We did an outstanding job and it was not easy.”
