Gianmarco Tamberi trembles, but then rejoices: it’s final at Worlds
A final won at the last breath.
Gianmarco Tamberi takes the high jump final at the World Athletics Championships in Eugene. But for the Olympic champion there is no shortage of headaches as the third and final attempt proves decisive.
For the Marches star, in fact, came the double mistake both on the measure of 2.25 meters and on that of 2.28. In both cases the last available jump was therefore decisive, allowing him to eliminate the Mexican Rivera author in turn of an error. Eliminated instead was the other Italian competing. It was Marco Fassinotti, who in turn stopped in front of the 2.28 hurdle with three errors.
Now Gianmarco Tamberi is preparing for the final, which will be held at the World Championships in Eugene when the night between Monday and next Tuesday in Italy.
