F1, Lewis Hamilton enjoys the podium and reveals a backstory
For Hamilton excellent second place despite no small problem
On other occasions, for Lewis Hamilton, finishing second would have been like being ranked “first of the losers.” Given the course of the 2022 season, however, the place of honor he took in France at the wheel of his Mercedes can only bring a smile to the seven-time world champion’s face.
And at the microphones of the international director’s office, on the sidelines of the podium awards ceremony, the seven-time world champion admitted to having had a not insignificant problem, which affected the race finale in particular: “My hydration system was not working,” he said, “I couldn’t drink. I haven’t weighed myself yet but I must have lost more or less three kilos.”
Returning to the final result, Hamilton then explained, “We were a long way behind the Red Bulls and Ferraris, but in the race invecesiamo managed to get on the podium both George and I, thanks to the work of the team.” Then, picking up on the previous theme, “Now I want to celebrate, but first I necessarily have to go drinking.”
