Villeneuve flunks Leclerc and Ferrari

Jacques Villeneuve doesn’t discount Charles Leclerc, who returned from France with the plumbs in the bag and with a situation in the standings (-63 from Max Verstappen) that does not allow him to look optimistically to the future.
“Leclerc and Verstappen were traveling at the same pace, but the Monegasque made another mistake he shouldn’t have made,” the Canadian pointed out with Formule1.nl. “He admitted it himself, that’s not how he deserves to win the championship.

“The big difference with Verstappen is that certain things don’t happen to the Dutchman. And when Max gets beaten by Leclerc, he often ends up second: continuing in this way that huge gap is not going to shrink quickly. We have a championship with two more or less equal cars, but one, now, has a big advantage in the standings. Leclerc and Ferrari are the example of how not to win a championship,” added the former world champion.
