MotoGp, Puig: “Marc Marquez worried.”
Honda team manager Alberto Puig updates on Marc Marquez’s condition: “He seems fine but no one has a crystal ball.”
Honda and Marc Marquez are holding their breath: the coming weeks will be crucial for the eight-time world champion, who is following his rehabilitation path after his fourth arm operation in two years. Honda team manager Alberto Puig to As makes no predictions and confesses some trepidation: “Of course he is worried. We are all worried. I don’t have a crystal ball. We hope everything goes well this time. Everything seems fine and he feels good. The doctors are satisfied. Now we are waiting for the recovery.”
Puig’s real worry at the moment is the bike, which is not up to Honda’s standards: “We thought the 2022 bike was very competitive, but in the end we were wrong. Since the Indonesian Grand Prix things have gone from bad to worse, and all this is probably a consequence of not finding what we had planned. The most important thing is to improve our bike and get back to the normal level that Honda has accustomed us to in racing.”
