Letizia Paternoster operated, return is an unknown
The surgery, performed in Brescia, was perfectly successful
Letizia Paternoster underwent surgery Wednesday to reduce the fracture in her right collarbone caused by the frightening fall during the track cycling elimination race at the European Championships in Munich.
The surgery, as communicated by the Federciclismo, succeeded without complications. “Letizia Paternoster was operated on at the Poliambulanza hospital in Brescia,” the FCI explained. The surgery, performed by Professor Flavio Terragnoli, was perfectly successful. The Federation thanks Prof. Terragnoli and wishes Letizia a speedy recovery.”
There is no mention, in the note, of the recovery time of the Italian champion, which therefore remains an unknown: before thinking about the return to racing, it will be necessary to face an adequate rehabilitation.
